Hy-Vee displaying dozens of U.S. flags in honor of Veterans Day

QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -

In honor of Veteran's Day, dozens of American flags are on display outside of the Quincy Hy-Vee on Harrison.

The flags are on loan from Great River Honor Flight Board Member Tom Geise.

Store Manager Steve Labs says the flags are usually handed out during Honor Flight homecoming ceremonies, but he thought displaying them would be a great way to honor local veterans.

Hy-Vee is also holding a free breakfast for veterans Monday from 5 a.m.-Noon.
