A Bushnell, Illinois teenager suffered serious injuries in a two car crash at 9 a.m. Friday morning in rural McDonough County.
Illinois State Police say a car driven by Jacob Johnson, 18, was traveling southbound on County Road 1400 East, 0.1 miles north of County Road 1500 North.
Police say Johnson's car ran off the right shoulder before crossing the center of the roadway and striking a fertilizer truck driven by 75-year-old Joseph Sullivan of Macomb.
Johnson's car overturned and came to rest on its top, catching fire. Johnson was trapped inside until EMS crews were able to extricate him from the vehicle.
He was life flighted to Peoria St. Francis Hospital with serious injuries.
Sullivan refused treatment at the scene.
State Police say both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
