People get glimpse inside WWII B-25 aircraft

QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -

The finale of the parade featured a flyover by a B-25 aircraft, that was used in World War two.

People got a chance to look inside that B-25 at Quincy Regional Airport before it's debut at the Veteran's parade.

Veteran Bernard Giannell got the chance to be a passenger in the B-25 as it flew over the parade.

Giannell flew a B-25 60 years ago in the Air Force and says today's flight was great reminder of his time in the armed forces.

"Sixty years ago that was my daily ride. That's what I was flying hauling students around. Today I get to ride for free and it is a thrill," said veteran Bernard Giannell.

The B-25 soared 12-hundred feet above Quincy during the parade.
