"Symphony of Trees" Returns to Quincy

It's a good indicator that the winter holidays are right around the corner - the "Symphony of Trees" has returned to Quincy.

The beautifully decorated trees on display were donated from area businesses.

Symphony of Trees raises money for youth education in music - and all money raised goes back into the community.

The event is taking place a month earlier than usual - organizers say it's worked out well.

"We have a lot of sponsors from all over that give us money to help run the event. And then people can purchase, everything is for sale. So we try to make as much money as we can on purchases through silent auction and live auction," said co-organizer Cindy Strock.

This weekend they had a variety of events - the ladies luncheon, the first "Beat Beethoven" 5K, breakfast with Santa, and more.
