Randolph County Resident Arrested Following The Investigation Of A Child Death

The Randolph County Sheriff's Department has made an arrest following the investigation into the death of a child. On Sunday just before nine in the morning, the Randolph County Sheriff's Department was notified that a family was driving an unresponsive boy to the Moberly Regional Medical Center. When officers arrived, eighteen month old Jayden Bradds of Clark, Missouri had been pronounced dead.

Later that day, deputies say23 year old Joe Laswell was arrested for domestic assault and child abuse, with additional charges pending. Deputies say Laswell was a friend of the child's mother. He was transported to the Randolph County Jail, where he is currently being held on a 24 hour hold.

The investigation is ongoing, and an autopsy has been scheduled for Monday in Columbia.
