QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -- Appropriately on World Diabetes Day Wednesday Blessing Hospital officials announced a new diabetes center is coming to Quincy.
Blessing officials say the center has been in the works for nine months and is expected to open sometime after the first of the year.
It will include providers, nurse practitioners, physicians, specialists, dieticians, pharmacists and certified nurse educators all under one roof.
Blessing Hospital's CEO Maureen Kahn says having all these services in one location will make it easier for patients
"A piece of it was done in 14th street, a piece of it was here at the main campus, the rest was done in physician offices, so we're trying to create one place for people to go," says Kahn.
The new diabetes center will be located at 1107 College Drive in Quincy.
