Park Board Discusses Fees for Facilities

After a disappointing season attendance at Quincy's two swimming pools, some pricing changes are coming for next summer.

Tonight the Quincy Park Board approved fees for several facilities, including Wavering and Indian mounds.

Daily admission to the pools will remain the same, but the prices for individual season passes has gone down to 40 dollars.

The park district will also add a family season pass at 150 dollars.

Officials say they're confident this will help draw people in because it would make the pool affordable for families, and also help with concession sales.

There would also be a discount on days with a heat advisory - but it has been bumped from one to two dollars.

Also, golf fees at Westview and batting cage prices will all stay the same next year.
