
IMPERIAL, Mo. (AP) -- An eastern Missouri man is dead after his car struck a bridge while trying to avoid a dead deer in the roadway.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/UFToGZ ) reports that the accident happened Wednesday on Interstate 55 in Jefferson County, south of St. Louis. The victim, 41-year-old Keith Labitska of Imperial, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Labitska swerved to avoid a deer carcass. His Chevrolet Malibu went off the right side of the interstate and struck a bridge.
