(WGEM) -- A Northeast Missouri man originally charged with attempted murder has now pleaded guilty to lesser charges and is sentenced to 12 years in prison.
Arnold Pargeon, 51, pleaded guilty to domestic assault and felonious restraint.
He was arrested in September after beating a woman in Perry.
Ralls County Sheriff's Deputies say when they arrived on scene, a woman was yelling for help inside.
The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment and later released.
