Quincy Salvation Army kicks off 2012 Christmas Campaign

The Quincy Salvation Army kicked off its Christmas Campaign today, with the announcement of their 2012 campaign goal.

This year the goal is to raise $375,000.

All the money will go toward providing Christmas food baskets and toys along with giving year-round assistance for food, rent and utilities to families in need.

Officials say they need your help with donations more now than ever.

"It's going to be a critical year for us because we know we'll see more people coming in for need. We've seen it in the food pantry, we've seen it in the shelter so it's important that we get those funds raised," said Major Dan Jennings with the Salvation Army.

If you would like to donate contact the Quincy Salvation army or go to www.ringbells.org
