Quincy Service League kicks off Holiday Gift Show

It may not feel like the holidays outside quite yet, but some people were celebrating Saturday like it was.

The 44th Annual Quincy Service League Gift Show kicked off with 95 vendors on hand. They were selling things from Christmas decorations, to jewelry, kids items, and even some food.

Organizers say that this is a great way to get into the holiday spirit and raise money for the community at the same time.

"And then also every year we're able to give about 20 thousand dollars back to the community through grants and scholarships. So it's a really exciting weekend for us. Not only does it put you in the holiday spirit but we also know that every dollar we make goes back to the community," said Elizabeth Brown, the Quincy Service League gift show chair.

The gift show will be open again Sunday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Quincy Senior High School. Admission is $3 at the door for adults, $1 for children, and $2 for seniors.
