Mark Twain Elementary holds ribbon cutting for new playground

Students at Mark Twain Elementary all came out in the drizzling rain Monday morning to see their new playground.

The construction and playground equipment cost roughly $80,000, but Principal Karen Wheelan said it's worth it to see the emotion on the kids faces when they came out Monday.  Wheelan also said having this playground is much safer for the kids to play because there's more room to run around.

The playground has a three lane track around the playground, a soft surface under the playground equipment, and a basketball court.
