QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -- A trio of Quincy Notre Dame athletes made their college decisions official Wednesday afternoon, including a pair of basketball stars who will not soon be forgotten.

Jordan Frericks signed on with the University of Missouri while Kassidy Gengenbacher picked Lindenwood.

"When I was making my decision I would look at the conference they are in. Going to those big places, I'm just excited for a bigger challenge," Frericks said.

According to Gengenbacher: (Lindenwood) incorporates into their basketball program faith, family, basketball, and then your social life. I feel like that's how I try and live my life, putting God at the top of the scale of things. I just think it's a perfect fit for me."

The third of the signees has come a long way in a short time.

Jamie Ehrhart signed her national letter of intent with Northern Iowa and becoming a Division I athlete is quite the recognition for what she's accomplished.

"It's really something I've never dreamed of before. When I was younger I expected to play through high school and then go to college, but now being able to make it official is really a dream come true," Ehrhart told WGEM Sports.

"I completely transformed my mental game and that's really what led us to the third place trophy because if I wouldn't have done that, who knows what would have happened?"

Ehrhart earned a Top 10 finish at the state tournament and led the Lady Raiders to their first team title in program history.
