(NBC) -- For the first time ever, Black Friday on-line retail sales topped the 1-billion dollar mark, and that's before the annual "Cyber-Monday" targeted sales.
It's a day for multi-tasking, with more than half of American workers expected to shop online at work, according to the National Retail Federation.
The NRF also reports 85% of online retailers are offering special promotions on Cyber Monday, with just under half promising free shipping "without" restrictions.
Money Saving Queen Sarah Roe says online coupons can help dramatically, "There's so many websites where you can find online coupons to combine with the Cyber Monday deals or even Black Friday online deals to make the savings even better."
It might be very tempting to spend your work day shopping, but keep this in mind, Career Builder reports a quarter of employers have fired someone for using the Internet for "non" work-related activity.
