Three candidates file for 2013 Quincy mayoral race

QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -

So far, there are three candidates for Quincy mayor in the 2013 election.

Monday was the deadline for established parties to submit petitions for February's primary.

On the Republican side, Alderman Kyle Moore and Rich Nichols have entered the race.

But Nichols also filed petitions to run for Third Ward Alderman.  He has until Monday, December 3 to decide which race he's going to choose.

Current Mayor John Spring is the only Democrat to file.

Independents can file from December 17-24.
