Landslide repair work to shut down River Road north of Keokuk

KEOKUK, Ia. (WGEM) -

Work will begin Wednesday on a stretch of road in Southeast Iowa plagued by landslides for years.

River Road will be closed to through traffic from Keokuk city limits to Airport Road.

Contractors will be repairing the damage to the road bluff, the latest happened in the spring of 2011.

Work is expected to take at least three months.
