Budgets can be tight these days and every parent is looking for cost-cutting tips to keep cash in their pockets.
Thursday, some parents learned on how to stretch their dollar at a budgeting and coupon class hosted by the Quincy Early Childhood Center.
Organizers say the course is designed to help take off some of the financial stresses at home.
One of the speakers was a coupon expert who says there are some simple tips to save a lot of money at the grocery store.
"One of these things all of the ladies in the class were surprised about that you can match up coupons, so you can use a sale price and use a coupon with that or that you can use a sale coupon and a manufacturers coupon and that really is a way of saving," said LeAnn Moyers.
Another speaker told parents to be conscious of expensive habits like daily coffees and lottery tickets, because cutting those could save a lot of cash.
