Man accused in Liberty shooting files motion to dismiss charges

QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -

The man accused of shooting two people at a Liberty motorcycle club has asked the judge to dismiss attempted murder charges.

Michaelangelo Gomez, 41, faces six charges in all including aggravated battery, aggravated discharge of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon.

Gomez was arrested Oct. 27 after authorities responded to the Percenters MC Motorcycle Club and found two men wounded by gunfire.

Both survived their injuries.

Gomez is scheduled to be back in court Dec. 27.
