
QUINCY (WGEM) -- If you've ever been shopping in a historic building in downtown Quincy and wondered what's upstairs, now's your chance to find out.
The Quincy Preserves' first Christmas Loft Tour takes place on Saturday, where you can get a peek inside six different buildings that have been converted into expansive living spaces.
It's part of downtown Quincy's Christkindl Market, a German Christmas celebration which takes place in Washington Park this weekend. The owners of one loft, above the Park Bench Restaurant, hope to see more of them in the area.
"I think if more of this happened, and we could develop more of the downtown area to that effect, with quality apartments, it would definitely be a plus for downtown Quincy," said Jerry Schmidt.
The Christmas Loft Tour runs from noon to 4 PM Saturday, with tickets available for $15 at a booth in the Christkindl Market. A schedule of the Market is as follows:
