Payson restaurant raises funds for local boy

PAYSON, Ill. (WGEM) -- The Owners of the Park View Restaurant held a fundraiser for Easton Zanger, a 2 year old boy who has a virus called "Human Herpesvirus Six" which can cause seizures.

Easton is hospitalized in the St. Louis Children's Hospital.

His Grandma says she can't thank the community enough for stepping up to help one of its own.

"It's more than we can ever phatom," said Eastons grandmother Cindy Linderer.

"There are some people that don't even know Jeff and Shannon or Easton for that matter that are calling and wanting to know what they can do to help."

Co-Owner Penny Noble says 100% of the profits will go to the Zanger family to help with medical and travel expenses.
