You wouldn't expect to be mowing the lawn in December, but this warm weather is leading to a grass growth spurt.
Curtis Maas, owner of Top Notch Turf Company says normally his crews are pushing snow the first week of December but now they're out doing all kinds of lawn maintenance.
He says there's no danger in mowing now, in fact it can only help.
"As long as the temperatures are nice and warm and it's not wet and heavy or frost on the ground, it's always good to get one more clean up before we eventually, maybe get winter," said Maas.
Maas says if you don't remove the leaves from your lawn, fungus can build up and hinder growth in the spring.
