Quincy Senior High School is trying to make filling out those pesky and sometimes confusing FAFSA forms a bit easier for parents and students.
Tuesday night QHS held their annual "Financial Aid Night" which aimed to help answer common questions parents have ranging from 'how do I get financial aid?' to 'What is FAFSA?'
QHS officials say helping to answer even the simplest of questions can help alleviate the stress of sending your child to college.
"The reason we do that is to get the parents ahead of time educated on what kind of information they'll need like their tax information, any different tax information like if they have stocks bonds, things like that so they can get that prepared. We'd like to have everyone done with FAFSA by February," said Mike Llewellyn, director of guidance at QHS.
If you missed tonight's meeting, you can call the QHS guidance office at 217-224-3770 or go to www.isac.org.
