Blessing Hospital named a Top Rural Hospital by Leapfrog Group

QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -

Quincy's Blessing Hospital has been named a Top Rural Hospital by a national group, the first Illinois hospital to ever make the list.

The Leapfrog Group looked at 1,200 hospitals across the country, and named 13 Top Rural hospitals this year.

The survey measures hospitals' performance on patient safety and quality.

Blessing officials say this award is a verification of their commitment to the people in this region and they will continue to improve the lives they touch.
