QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -

The Salvation Army's Major Dan Jennings and his wife Dorene just announced they are being reassigned in February.

They will be serving as divisional leaders for the Wisconsin and upper Michigan division- which includes the Kroc Center in Green Bay.

Jennings said he was surprised to be reassigned this early, but is proud of what his team has accomplished during his time in Quincy.

" A lot of things have taken place. Obviously to open a center like this is unprecedented in most cities and it certainly was in Quincy. To open up a nearly 100,000 square foot facility. We think about the work being done right now on the Shelter and Family services those are massive," said Jennings.

The officers being appointed to Quincy and Hannibal should be announced in early January 2013.
