The First Christian Church in Hannibal held a dedication and an open house Sunday for Sarah's Place.
Sarah's Place will be a residence for those in hospice care to come to as they are nearing the end of their life. Sarah's dad, Carl, says when his daughter got very sick she didn't want to pass away in her home and have those memories left behind for her husband and kids.
"This facility is funded through donations and hospice will take care of a lot of this stuff. We have a lot of donors that gave money for it and for that we are very much appreciative," said Carl Yates.
Sarah's Place is free of charge to those that meet the guidelines and criteria. For more information you can contact the Community Loving Care Hospice at 573-324-9828.
