Keokuk Man Arrested on Drug Charges


 The Lee County Narcotics Task Force arrested a Keokuk man and on felony and misdemeanor drug charges.         

37 year old Matthew Allen Marshall was arrested on December 5th in the 600 block of South 10th Street in Keokuk. Marshall faces a charge of Manufacture of Methamphetamine in Excess of Five Grams While in Possession of an Offensive Weapon, Second or Subsequent Offense a class B felony with two special enhancements. Marshall also faces charges of Possession of Marijuana, a serious misdemeanor, Possession of Methamphetamine, a serious misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

This all stems from items found in a car trunk on December 3rd, 2012 in Keokuk. The items found support the charges.

The Lee County Attorney's Office, Lee County Sheriff's Office, Keokuk Police Department, ATF, State of Iowa Fire Marshall's Office, and the 8th Judicial District of Probation and Parole assisted the Lee County Narcotics Task Force in this investigation.
