Pike County Jail escapee sentenced to seven years in prison


(WGEM) - One of five inmates who escaped the Pike County, Missouri Jail in September has been sentenced to seven years in prison.

Emanuel Chatman, 27, pleaded guilty to escape, damage to jail property and theft.

Chatman was caught on September 10 in Oklahoma, two days after breaking out of the jail in Bowling Green, Missouri.

Four other inmates are charged in the escape and are awaiting court appearances.
