Two injured in rural car accident


Two people were injured in an early morning car accident.

According to the Adams County Sheriff's Department, Kathryn Lambert of Quincy was driving west on the Kellerville Blacktop at County Road North 1210th Avenue at around 2 AM Tuesday morning, when she swerved to avoid a deer.

The car went off into a ditch where it struck an embankment and was sent airborne.

Lambert and her passenger, Justin Breneman of Quincy, were able to walk to a nearby residence to call 9-1-1.

They were transported to Blessing Hospital with minor injuries.

The car, a 2002 Saturn, was totaled.
