QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -- The Culver-Stockton volleyball program just got a whole lot better

On Tuesday afternoon afternoon, head coach Caren Kemner signed Quincy High setter India Green to a national letter of intent.

Green is the unquestioned top senior recruit in the area after helping the Blue Devils to a rather robust 109 wins over her three years at the varsity level.

Green finished her career as Quincy High's all-time leader in assists with 2,641.

That total also ranks 11th in IHSA history, and now it's time to take her skills to Canton.

"As well as knowing people, it's just nice not being too far away from home and keep my colors blue and white, and my number," Green told WGEM Sports.

"I think it'll be fun to go to a place that my previous coach (Barb Crist) is comfortable with, and that I'm comfortable with."

Caren Kemner knows that she is getting a top notch prospect.

"Shes a tremendous addition to a tide that's already turning at Culver."

"I think shes going to fit in very well just as a kid, but I also think shes going to explode as a volleyball player with our program."

Green assisted in leading the Blue Devils to a regional title her sophomore season and then back-to-back undefeated runs through the Western Big Six the last two years.
