Quincy city officials are working on the first neighborhood comprehensive plan since 1986.
City Planner Chuck Bevelheimer says the new plan focuses on future land development in specific neighborhoods in Quincy.
The developments can cover everyhing from a new street to a new business.
The data for the plan was collected from the 2010 census numbers and input from residents through public meetings and workshops.
"It came from public input," said Chuck Bevelheimer, Quincy City Planner. "We asked questions from the public like, 'Where do you want to see future commercial development? Where do you want to see future residential development? Where should multi-housing family go?' So we asked them a series of questions and they gave us feedback."
A public hearing on the plan will be held at the planning commission's January 8 meeting.
