The Quincy Park District has approved a more than half a million dollar construction project for its new location on Bonansinga Drive.
It recently bought the old Bayview Cafe to be its new headquarters.
The park district is in the process of selling its current location, the Emerson Community Center.
Officials say the $630,000 construction project near the river should be done in July, but the moving process may take a little longer.
"July is a being time of year for us, so the move schedule may be phased. It make take several months for us to get completely over there because we have to try to maintain operations at the height of the summer," said Ed Seger, executive director of the Quincy park district.
Seger hopes staff will be moved to the new location by September.
