WEST QUINCY, Mo. (WGEM) -
Authorities say a Taylor man was killed early Sunday morning as he was trying to walk across U.S. 24.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 35-year-old William Oliver was hit by an eastbound truck around 3:15 a.m. one miles west of West Quincy.
Authorities say Oliver was not at a crosswalk and failed to yield to traffic.
Oliver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports this is the 35th death on Northeast Missouri roads this year.
