The Early Childhood and Family Center in Quincy was filled with Christmas giving spirit Monday.
Throughout the month of December, the center is celebrating kindness by finding different ways to help others. One of the goals was to raise money for the Great River Honor Flight.
The kids lined up and then filled a bucket with coins. Every penny adds up to help send a local veteran to Washington D.C.
"We have all talked in the classroom about what a veteran is. What it means and what it means to give. And what we can do to help them and what they've done for our country," said Keri Bergman, a teacher at Early Childhood and Family Center.
A Barbershop Quartet came in to sing for the children and Santa even made an appearance.
