One dead, two injured in Lewis County accident


LEWIS COUNTY, Mo. (WGEM) -- According to troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, one person has died and two others were sent to the hospital after a two vehicle accident in Lewis County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Cortez Robinson of Kirksville, Missouri was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers say Robinson was standing in front of his vehicle when he was hit by an oncoming car at around 9:45 Monday night, about 2 miles west of Lewistown, Missouri on Highway 6.

Two others with Robinson were taken to the hospital, one with serious and one with moderate injuries.
