Mail trucks were loaded with Christmas gifts Wednesday for the busiest delivery day of the year for the postal service.
658 million holiday cards, letters and packages were expected to be delivered today, 140 million more than a normal day.
In Quincy, mail carriers were packing a lot more weight going door to door.
One mail carrier said he doesn't remember it ever being this busy.
"This month has been the heaviest I've seen since I've been with the post office. I would say compared to last year we've doubled the amount to last year," said Quincy mail carrier George Meyer.
If you're a procrastinator, you still have until Saturday to get your gift to its destination by Christmas.
But it'll cost more to be sent priority.
