Adams County snow plows continue to clean up Thursday's storm

Snow plows were out again Friday in full force continuing efforts to get the roads clear of snow and ice.

County Engineer Jim Frankenhoff said they have all of the county roads cleared at this point.

The major problems Friday morning were snow drifts caused by windy overnight conditions.

Frankenhoff said the department also had some operational issues.

"With no snow last year a lot of our trucks experienced hose failure with their plow system with blade lift. It is just a wear and tear that you don't know until you use them. If something breaks we get it fixed as fast as we can," said Frankenhoff.

Frankenhoff said the broken parts didn't hurt their efficiency because they used older trucks to get the job done.

Officials want to warn motorists there could still be some slick spots on the roads, so be careful driving.
