As the holiday travel season perks up - Quincy airport officials say they feel they're in good shape to get ten thousand passengers before the end of the year.
According to airport director Jeff Steinkamp, as of Friday they had reached 9,654 passengers.
He says all flights are running as scheduled, and if they average around six passengers per flight, they should be in good shape.
Steinkamp says four flights were canceled on Thursday due to the winter storm, but he hopes it won't set them back too far - because he thinks many of those passengers re-scheduled for a later flight.
If the airport reaches ten thousand passengers, the airport would receive one million dollars in grant money from the federal government.
Steinkamp says that money would go towards airport improvement projects.
