Gas prices lowering in the Tri-States

WEST QUINCY, Mo. (WGEM) -

With gas prices continuing to fall, are more people hitting the road this Christmas?

In West Quincy, gas was just more than 3-dollars a gallon.  According the gasbuddy.com, Missouri has the lowest average price per gallon at $2.97, making more people want to travel.

Driver Kiala Brown said she wouldn't have made the trip up to Quincy for both Christmas Eve and Christmas day if gas prices were still high.

"Oh it's making it tons better. I've got a new born baby and so that kind of puts a pinch on the budget and so it's helping a lot better," Brown said.

According to gasbuddy.com, the average price per gallon in Iowa is $3.13 and in Illinois it's $3.26.
