Fowler, Ill. (WGEM) - Adams County Sheriff's deputies were called out to an accident in early Monday morning only to find an abandoned car.

Deputies determined that Landon Neisen, 19, was traveling on US 24 around midnight when he swerved to miss a deer and went off the north side of the road. His vehicle went down an embankment before colliding with fencing at the bottom of the hill.

The sheriff's department received a call about the accident at approximately 5:44 a.m. and made contact with Neisen a few hours later.

Neisen was ticketed for improper lane usage, failure to give info after striking property and failure to report an accident.
