QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -

There isn't much you can do out in the cold, but something that will get you into the Christmas spirit is Ice Skating.

People all over the Tri-States came to Riverside Skating Rink despite the cold temperatures.

Officials say the recent snow and the Christmas Spirit is only helping business.

"I think it's helping a lot. Those nostalgic feelings an just the ambiance of having the snow. I think it really inspires people to come out and experience it," said Marion Dye, River Skate co-owner.

The rink will continue to stay open from 12 to 9 everyday until January 6th.
