Hundreds of people in the Quincy area gathered together for a free community Christmas dinner Tuesday.
The Salvation Army Kroc Center played host to this year's annual Christmas dinner.
Those in attendance were serenaded by the salvation army band, while dining on ham and other Christmas staples.
Officials with the Salvation Army say it's an event that brings the community together each year.
"It's just a way for us to just bless the community and really makes us feel good as well. Lots of volunteers are giving part of their Christmas day to come out and be a part and serve this way," said Maj. Dan Jennings.
Major Jennings says volunteers delivered meals to anyone who was not able to make it in.
