Hannibal Parks and Rec excited about new storyboard by lighthouse

The Hannibal Parks and Rec Department along with the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum and Visitor Bureau all came together to buy a storyboard citing the history of the lighthouse.

The storyboard cost about 15 hundred dollars, but Parks and Rec supervisor Aron Lee says the reason they bought this was because of the interest in the lighthouse from tourists.

"They always ask for the history of the lighthouse and want to know more about it so we thought it would be fitting to put this type of storyboard up there that would outline the history of it and it's becoming very beneficial," Lee said.

The storyboard doesn't just tell the history of the lighthouse, it also has facts like how tall it is and how many steps it takes to get to the lighthouse.
