Tax officials say tax law changes could be coming

As tax season approaches, officials want to make sure you're ready for the new season.

Officials say there are going to be some changes this year in tax law, but they want to make sure you have everything organized, such as having any income, tuition and property tax records together, but Tera Schultz with H&R Block said a lot of people can expect some big changes this year.

"Unless they patch AMT, that is going to affect a large amount of people and it's a hard thing to understand. And we're talking about people who are used to getting a couple thousand dollars back, owing a couple thousand dollars, and that's going to be a big issue for a lot of people," Schultz said.

For more information on any 2012 tax law changes, you can call your local tax representative.
