Hannibal reports an increase in tourism in 2012

More people are visiting America's Hometown.

The Hannibal Convention & Visitors Bureau reported an increase in tourism in 2012 from the previous year.

Director of Tourism Gail Bryant says they broke records in several months in lodging.

Bryant says the return of large passenger-carrying riverboats helped boost tourism, and both the American Queen and the Queen of the Mississippi will return in July.
