Quincy Salvation Army's new leaders visit the Kroc Center

The new leaders of the Quincy Salvation Army visited the area for the first time Friday.

Majors Andrew and Cheryl Miller met with current officers and advisory board members at the Kroc Center.

The Millers have served in Kansas City for the past three years.

They will take over in Quincy on Feb. 6, but say they've already been impressed by the community.

"We are so blessed to be coming to a place where we know that the people of Quincy support the Salvation Army in such a marvelous way. And this center that we're in now is such a monument to the people of Quincy and the Lord's work here at the Salvation Army," said Miller.

The Millers will replace Majors Dan and Dorene Jennings, who are being reassigned to the Wisconsin and Upper Michigan Division.
