The Quincy Community Theater is one of the first in the world to perform the new musical Wanda's World.
It's about a young girl who moves to a new city and is nervous about going to a new school.
When she gets there, she gets bullied and imagines herself in a fantasy world as she tries to cope.
The musical is modern and contemporary, something organizers say will appeal to a younger crowd.
"For parents and for teachers it has a great anti bullying message and for young kids it's about being empowered and having confidence but also with really fun music and characters that they can relate to," said Brandon Thomsen, Director of Student Theater.
There are 36 young actors ages sixth grade through college.
They will be performing with a live band.
The show opens Jan. 31 and runs through Feb. 3. Tickets are now on sale.
