Missouri tax refunds now available to be delivered on a debit card

(WGEM) - For the first time ever, Missouri residents can get their state tax refund on a debit card.

The Missouri Department of Revenue is offering the card to taxpayers, whether they file electronically or file a paper return.

Just mark the "debit card" box on the refund line of the 2012 Individual Income Tax Return or Property Tax Credit Claim.

After the card is received in the mail, it must be activated by phone or online, and a personal identification number must be created.
