New McDonough county website in the works

Posted:
MCDONOUGH COUNTY, Ill. (WGEM) -

In a few months it will be a little bit easier to navigate through McDonough county-- on the web that is.

That's because a new county website is now in the works.

The website will feature information for several county departments, and will also include information from city hall meeting times to current weather conditions.

Project organizers say they will link the current county office websites to this new page.

"Pretty much every department for the county. It will have links to the Elm's website, links to the Sheriff's website, just kind of making everything in one place now," said Jake Holmes, IT Director for McDonough County and Macomb.

The website is expected to be accessible to the public by early march
