Hearing set for Northeast Missouri woman accused of destroying evidence

A preliminary hearing has been set for a Northeast Missouri woman accused of destroying evidence used to convict her boyfriend of murder.

Rebecca Kirk of Frankford is charged with two felony counts of tampering with evidence, after she admitted to trying to destroy evidence that would be used to convict her former boyfriend Calvin Duane Petty of murder.

Petty was reportedly having an affair with Kirk when he was engaged to Sandra Fugate of Hannibal.

He was convicted of murdering Fugate in June 2012.

Kirk is scheduled to be back in court Feb. 20.
