Western Illinois special teams star Pat Smith will visit Nebraska this weekend in hopes of more clarity on where he'll play his senior season.
MACOMB, Ill. (WGEM) -- Pat Smith has decided to keep his options open.
For the Western Illinois kicker and punter that may, or may not, mean he'll return for his senior season with the Leathernecks.
Smith tells WGEM Sports he plans to make a visit to Nebraska this weekend adding the Cornhuskers are interested in him being their kicker next season.
But the Quincy Notre Dame alum hasn't ruled out the possibility of coming back to Macomb.
Part of Smith's focus has turned towards his education and the pursuit of a masters degree in finance.
Last season he shared team MVP honors with linebacker J.J. Raffelson after converting all 10 of his field goal attempts and making all 11 extra point attempts.
